Full Service Custom Video Production Academic Media Network produces interpretive videos,
interactive CD-ROMS & DVDs, and WEB movies for a variety of clients, as well as curriculum-oriented videos for classroom use and distance
learning. Our GlobeScope Division develops promotional documentaries, WEB movies, and other media for the travel industry.
Types of Video Productions Because the power of moving images can serve many purposes, our videos vary greatly in length
and complexity. Several of our educational and travel productions have a running time of 30 minutes or longer, whereas others, especially
those produced to enhance WEB sites, convey their message in only 30 seconds. Some of our productions depend primarily on video footage.
Others are multimedia creations that combine video footage with maps, animated graphics, and stills.
Concept Development, Research and Scripting We work closely with you to determine your media needs and develop the best
strategies for obtaining your objectives. Our experienced staff can provide the research and writing skills needed for script development.
If you already have a script, we can review it and offer suggestions that will make it more effective for a video presentation.
Images Depending on your needs, we can shoot your video to script using professional three-chip digital cameras, or we
can create a program for you from our extensive image library. This library currently contains approximately 60,000 color transparencies
and more than 1,600 hours of SVHS and digital video footage from many parts of the world. We can combine images from our files with footage
you already have on hand. If you are interested in having all or part of your program shot to script on location, we can provide the
necessary equipment and personnel.
Editing We use Media 100 and Pinnacle non-linear digital editing systems that allow us to efficiently combine video, still images,
maps, animated graphics, titles and visual effects with narration, sound effects, and music from our music library.
Delivery When your program is completed, it can be duplicated in multiple copies on standard VSH tape, sent to television
stations in a format suitable for broadcast, or compressed for use on CD-ROMs, DVDs' and the Internet. You can have your video delivered in
as many different ways as you choose. We maintain storage media files on all programs we produce, so your program can be revised or
formatted for different delivery systems as your needs change.
